Chelsea White has been an active member of the Corridor Theatre Community since they relocated back to the area in 2017. They've held various Backstage and Front of House roles at companies across the Corridor and consider each one to have been a learning opportunity but some of their favorites have included getting directly to work with playwrights because they also consider themself one. Chelsea has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History with a minor in Theatre Arts from Coe College as well as Master of Education in Higher Education and Education Specialist in Organizational Leadership degrees from Abilene Christian University. Their degrees have led them to Kirkwood Community College where they are a full-time Operations Specialist I in Adult Education & Literacy. In addition to Kirkwood, they work part-time in the Box Office at Theatre Cedar Rapids so you may have seen them on a recent visit to the theatre. They look forward to bringing their passion for local theatre and their background to their role on the Board of Directors.

“I'm looking forward to being part of the Board of Directors for an organization that has such a strong foundation. With a rich history and sense of tradition, Playtime Poppy helps introduce theatre to the next generation of performers, technicians, and audience members and I am excited to contribute to that mission. While Playtime Poppy was not part of my childhood, I am excited to be part of its future and make sure the Corridor Theatre Community will be thriving for years to come.”
